Mr. Raj Kumar Basnet is an experienced economist and research professional with strong expertise in economic policy analysis, development economics, public finance, and institutional research. He holds an M.A. and M.Phil. in Economics and has been actively engaged in research, policy studies, and academic analysis related to Nepal’s economic development.
His areas of expertise include macroeconomic analysis, fiscal policy, investment planning, economic governance, poverty reduction strategies, and sustainable development. He has contributed to various research projects, policy reviews, and institutional studies focusing on national development and economic transformation.
At NIIERD, he serves as Economist and Research Fellow, contributing to economic research, policy analysis, development planning, and strategic advisory initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth and institutional strengthening in Nepal.
